Memoir Writing Class Session: Fridays at 10:00
Memoir writing is a soft start to the process of telling your story done in a supportive group of classmates. Your story can take you places that you never imagined, activate parts of your brain that haven’t been used in a while, and leave a legacy for your children. You may even decide to submit a short story for publication.
Memoir writing is all of these things but most of all it is FUN! If this sounds interesting to you, call for more information or to sign up for the class beginning April 1.
Acting Class – Thursdays at 10:00 am
Whether you’ve never acted before, were in some high school plays but nothing since, formerly acted with other theatre groups, or just always thought you’d like to try getting up on a stage - this program is your big chance. Think it’s too late for you to start? Now that’s the worst excuse of all! The class is directed by New Fairfield resident Patricia Goodman who has spent most of her life acting, directing or teaching dramatics to all ages from primary school to seniors. She first concentrates on fun acting exercises and scene studies, with an eye toward a full production right here at the center. Patsy guarantees she can make you a star! Call to sign up for this free weekly group.
Zumba: Mondays and Wednesdays at 9:30am
Zumba is fun…it’s the type of exercise you’ll want to do every day and feel good about doing it! It’s different. You probably never thought you’d be exercising to this type of music. It’s effective. It is an aerobic workout, which we all know works. But it’s more fun, which will make you stick with the program until you get results.
Bodies in Motion: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at 11:00
Enjoy this easy-to-follow class with up-beat music. It can be done seated or standing at your own pace and skill and safety level. It uses a combination of weights and resistance bands, as well as several body weight exercises. You will find it fun while focusing on your breathing and improving your balance in order to reduce your risk of falls.
Tai Chi: Tuesdays at 9:30
Improved stress reduction, balance, agility for all is the focus of Tai Chi.
Gentle Yoga: Tuesdays at 1:00
Moderate Yoga: Fridays at 10:00 Yoga classes weekly led by instructor Karen Gillotti. Both Gentle and Moderate Yoga run in 6 week sessions for $30each.
After Hours Yoga: Wednesdays at 5:15
Yoga classes weekly led by instructor Lara Ward. Six week session is $30.00.
Body Strengthening: (It’s a video so work this into your schedule if this time does not work for you)

Coleen Krempel has made a new video for Body Strengthening. This is a low impact exercise program that can be done from a chair. It can help build up your strength and mobility.
Sittercise: Wednesdays at 12:30
Sittercise is a 45-minute exercise program designed for use with all levels of ability including the physically challenged.
Curbside Lunch Pickup: Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:30-12:00 Place your order for lunch by Wednesday morning prior to the week you would like lunch. Monday you can pick up both Monday and Tuesdays lunch. Wednesday pick up Wednesday and Thursdays lunch.
Wheel of Fortune: Mondays at 1:30

Join us either as a contestant or a member of the audience. Contestants guess hidden phrases Win points as determined by a spin of the wheel for each correct consonant you guess. But you have to use points to see what vowels are in the puzzle. Contestant with the correct guess to the puzzle wins a prize.
Stitch by Stitch Quilting: Tuesdays at 10:00
This group enjoys getting together to share quilting ideas and sewing projects. If you quilt now or quilted in the past and like to get together to discuss projects, or want to find out what is new in the quilting world, this program is for you.
Mah Jongg: Tuesdays at 1:00 Mah Jongg is a tile-based game that is played by four players. Come join this group for a game of skill, strategy and luck.
Investment Club – Tuesdays 1:30 pm Meet weekly in the Community Room to share money lessons and tips on stocks and portfolios shared Stay on top of the world’s changing financial picture with discussions covering today’s hottest financial topics with like- minded individuals.
Pool: Tuesdays at 2:00 This group gets together every week to play pool. No experience necessary. Class size is limited so sign up today.
Cards: Wednesdays at 1:00 This is a fun way to spend the afternoon. Join this group who enjoy playing cards.
Canasta: Thursdays at 1:00 Canasta is a card game of the rummy family of games. It is most commonly played by four in two partnerships with two standard decks of cards.
Blood Pressure Screening: Thursdays at 9:00-12:00 Come for a free screening of your blood pressure.
Cornhole: Thursdays at 3:00 Show off your cornhole skills and have some fun. Show up and join the red or blue team. See which team is the first to score
Crafts: Fridays at 1:00 This group gets together every week to work on different crafts that will be sold in October at the Craft Fair.
Sit n Stitch: Wednesdays at 10:00 Do you knit or crochet? Join this group every week and work on any portable project while unwinding with other crafters.
French Class: Thursdays 9:00 am This fun and casual class taught by Claire Tuffereau is for those who have a basic knowledge of French and want to keep that knowledge alive. $30 for 6 weeks
Technology Assistance: Mondays and Wednesdays, 1:00 pm
