Garden Club Plant Collection:  Friday, June 8th 1-4pm

Collecting potted garden plants, label each please.  Plants will be offered for sale at Granny’s Tag Sale June 9^th.

Save the date! The Friends of the Senior Center annual fundraiser will be right here at the Center parking lot.  Stop by to shop for a unique treasure, indoor and outdoor plants, or one of the famous home baked cakes for sale!

Home Safety and  Disaster Preparedness:  Wednesday, June 13^th 1:30pm Your home is your castle but also could become a cause of catastrophe. Learn about disaster preparedness and prevention of accidents and injuries that can happen in the home. Accidents can happen in any room but with critical thought and preparation potentially dangerous areas can be eliminated. Lecture will be provided by Elizabeth Denby-Callahan, Trauma Coordinator at Western Connecticut

Heart Healthy Cooking Class with Scott Caldwell Monday June 18th^th 1:30 p.m.   Got a favorite recipe you want to make Healthier?????? Bring it to Scott, Scott Caldwell of  Phoenix Massage &  Personal Training will be taking a submitted recipe and will change it to a ‘healthy’ version.  Submit your favorite appetizer or dessert recipe by May 30^th to be considered. Revamped recipes will be demonstrated at this free class with tastings on Monday June 18th^th 1:30 p.m.  Sign up with receptionist.

Casino Trip: Tuesday, June 19^th  depart 8:30am

Summer Senior Center Picnic:  Thursday, June 21st 1:30pm Celebrate summer and our 3rd anniversary at our beautiful location with our annual picnic.  Barbeque food, games, music, and don’t forget the Egg Toss competition with prizes this year!  Cost $7.
